Ian Armstrong B.Sc (Special Honours) MBA – Chairman
Mr Armstrong has extensive knowledge and experience in corporate management and strategy execution spanning over 30 years. He joined Accenture, a leading global management consultancy listed on the NYSE (previously Andersen Consulting) in 1981, becoming an International Partner in 1989. Mr Armstrong was appointed the Managing Partner of the South African practice from 1995 to 2000, then Managing Director for the Hungarian practice as well as being responsible for the Products and Resources client work in Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia and Slovakia. He has served on Accenture’s Advisory Council (Chairman in 1995) and on the firm ‘s Global Management Council and European Leadership Council. He also served on the Geographic Council for Central Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. His clients included multinational oil and fuel companies, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and resource corporations, as well as large government organisations. Mr Armstrong also held the position of Quality Assurance partner on various engagements with government, large listed and private companies. Mr Armstrong retired from Accenture in August 2002. He was previously a Director of an award winning family winery which he jointly established and developed. Mr Armstrong is the Chairman of Sustainable Agri-Processing Africa (Pty) Limited and Rainbow Nation Biodiesel (Pty) Limited. Geoff Mordt – Managing Director
Mr Mordt has over 16 years experience as a Managing Director. Specialising in continuous manufacturing operations for two major multinational companies in both South Africa and the United Kingdom before joining RNRF. As the MD of Polstar Taylowe (1998 – 2005) Mr Mordt was awarded the Company Managing Director of the Year, and subsequently, the Most Improved Company of the Year, within the Group. He also has the prior experience as the Marketing Director responsible for the sales of a number of national products in Southern Africa. Mr Mordt passed ‘M’ Levels and attained a Diploma in Marketing; he completed studies in Management, Business Law, Statistics and Financial Analysis. Mr Mordt was selected for the Anglovaal Executive Development Programme and completed his first year of an MBA at the University of Cape Town. Mr Mordt is a Director of Sustainable Agri-Processing Africa (Pty) Limited and Rainbow Nation Biodiesel (Pty) Limited. In his personal capacity Mr Mordt has purchased shares in RNRF. He represented Rhodesia at Rugby Union. Mr Mordt is married with three children.

Clifford Cawood MBA, Dip CA – Financial Director
Mr Cawood has extensive experience in the field of Financial Accounting and Company Administration. Mr Cawood has two years experience as the General Manager of De Beers Venture Capital Fund, and four years as General Manager then Managing Director of Murray and Roberts owned Kwena Rocla (Pty) Ltd. With two years experience as the Financial Director of Diversified Global Traders (Pty) Ltd, Mr Cawood brings with him a thorough knowledge of international commodity trading to the Company.

Chris Way MBA, Bsc Eng (Chem) – Operations Director
Mr Way has 7 years experience in the Oil and Fuels Industry with Caltex as a Process Engineer, including roles at Exatrade. Mr Way has six years experience with Nampak where he commenced as Logistics Director and after three years was appointed the Managing Director of a substantial Nampak subsidiary. He has also held previous roles as Operations Director, Production Director, Project Director and as General Manager.

David Dossor – Non Executive Director
From an agricultural family background in New Zealand, and following an early career with Bunge and a short stint with Kelloggs, David Dossor headed off on his own and founded Hunter Grain located on the Eastern seaboard of Australia. As the majority owner and Chairman, Mr Dossor built the business into the largest Soybean Meal importer and distributor in Australia and New Zealand, commanding approx 60% and approx 85% of the respective markets. He did this over the past two decades and is highly respected in the industry both locally and internationally. He is regarded as the most eminent expert in SBM in Australasia. In November 2007 he sold the Australian business to Graincorp Limited.
David Dossor brings international respectability, depth of knowledge in every aspect of sourcing, transporting, storing, sales, marketing and usability of SBM, plus his valuable experience to RNRF and the Group. He sits as an Arbitrator for Australia’s National Agricultural Commodities Marketing Association Limited (NACMA), on disputes involving oilseeds and soft commodities, and is a highly respected member and participant in the Stockfeed and Milling industries in Australia and New Zealand.
RNRF will benefit from his extensive knowledge, experience and overall guidance, and the Board is privileged to have his participation as a non executive Director on the Company’s Board.

Ray Mordt – Non Executive Director
Ray has 17 years Directorship experience having co-founded a Heavy Duty Hydraulic Engineering Company. He has been intimately involved in the successful implementation of Black Economic Empowerment partnerships in South Africa. Further, Ray has had many years experience with the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs in the continuous manufacturing industry. Mr Mordt sits on the Board of Sisonke Hydraulics and Engineering (Pty) Ltd. In his personal capacity Mr Mordt has subscribed and paid for shares in RNRF.

Grant Dutton BCom(IST) – Non Executive Director
Grant Dutton is presently the CEO of Vida e Caffe Group, a successful Western Cape franchise presently being rolled out nationally in South Africa. He has 7 years experience as owner/manager in the retail Fuel and Diesel Industry in South Africa and has also owned and controlled a number of other successful franchise stores. Grant Dutton has over 7 years directorship experience involved in companies with national branding and franchising in South Africa. Mr. Dutton earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a Major in Information Systems and Technology in from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Recently, Mr Dutton was a finalist in the Emerging Category of the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur 2007, South Africa, in association with Rand Merchant Bank. Khutso I. Mampeule BA, MSC, MBA – Non Executive Director
Khutso Mampeule is the Founder and Chairman of Lefa Group Holdings, an investment holding and consulting company he established in 2003. He has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the group’s strategy and business model. In addition to leading the consulting and advisory services, Mr Mampeule spearheads the acquisition of equity in and/or formation of joint ventures with other companies and is accountable for raising capital to fund the group’s activities.
Mr Mampeule serves as a Director and Chairman of Phetogo Investment (Pty) Ltd, Phetogo Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, and Fourdec Advisory (Pty) Ltd. He also serves as a director of Comair Ltd (JSE-listed), and KWV Limited. He is a trustee of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) South Africa, a member of and Chairman of the Young Presidents Organization (Johannesburg Chapter) and a member of the Advisory Board at the University of Stellenbosch Business School. He has held a number of leadership positions in Corporate South Africa, including serving as the Group CEO of the South African Post Office, where he made extensive headlines for taking firm positions against poor governance and corrupt practices at the institution. Other prior leadership roles include serving as the CEO of Old Mutual Employee Benefits, CEO of South African Express Airways, and Executive Manager of Spoornet’s iron-ore export business, OREX. Kevin Nel C.A. (SA), B.Com (Hons) – Procurement General Manager
Kevin has extensive experience and a deep knowledge of the Soybean crushing industry in South Africa having served 11 years with Nedan Oil Mills (Pty) Ltd. Prior to this he was the Financial Director of Tongaat Oil Products Ltd – a member of the Tongaat-Hulett Group, having previously completed 13 years with Pim Golby (now Deloittes) as a Chartered Accountant. Mr Nel has an acute appreciation of the silo storage, logistics and control elements of the local Soybean industry.

Craig Van Rensburg Dip Mkt/Sales Mgmt – Supply Chain Logistics Manager
Mr Van Rensburg has 6 years experience in the role of a company director, four of which as the marketing and sales director and two as logistics director. He has prior experience in project and production management, and logistics. He was a founding director of a commodity trading company and a geotextile extrusion company, and furthermore gained valuable experience in the Soya Bean Agribusiness with his two years at Specialised Protein Products as the Business Manager Product portfolio. Mr. Van Rensburg is currently studying towards his MBA.

Gary Farr B Sc Agric – Agricultural Technical Manager
Gary has 27 years of agricultural expertise in Southern Africa, 19 of which was in agricultural cropping management, with particular strength in plant breeding, plant health, soil analysis and optimising natural nitrogen fixation, nutrient balance, and agricultural chemical applications. He has developed proven programmes for a balanced approach to agriculture delivering reduced chemical usage and increased yield and quality per hectare. Mr Farr obtained a Bsc Agriculture from Natal University majoring in Genetics and Horticulture. He also has a Diploma in BASIC programming issued by Control Data. Mr. Farr provides a valuable support capability to the Soybean development and procurement team in South Africa

Mark Harris B.Com (Hons) Accounting
Mark joins RNRF as a Business Analyst; he previously worked as the Financial Manager for Veyance Technologies Africa (Pty) Ltd and the Management Accountant for Formex Industries, both in Port Elizabeth. He was also a lecturer in the Department of Accounting at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Mark has a B.Com Honours Degree: Accounting from the University of Natal and is currently progressing towards his CA.”
